Neyhom: The Thanksgiving Turkey

I’ve never really lived in the US beyond the vacations I spent with my family there. But every autumn season, along with the changing leaves and the addiction to pumpkin spice latte (that I have yet to taste, tbh!), the one thing I always hear about is Thanksgiving. We don’t have any form of holiday that’s like American Thanksgiving back in the Philippines. And in New Zealand, it was only recently that brands and companies actually took advantage of what comes after Thanksgiving the holiday - Black Friday Sale. Truth be told, I can’t even recall if I have had the opportunity to taste turkey at all. But I digress.

This year, I felt inspired to make a turkey that has already been pardoned and is more than excited to sit with you on the dinner table (or desk, shelf, side table, wherever you fancy, really!) as you give thanks for all the great things you’ve gone through this year.

He is absolutely in love with pumpkin pie. So much so, that he sometimes wears it on his head like a hat! He’d love to share it with you, of course! Neyhom loves holding onto the plate of pie, serving you as a gentle reminder to take a break whenever you feel like you need one.
